  • Upon the successful completion of the Samsung Semiconductor case, nationally recognized California law firm, J.J. Kim and Associates asked to continue its association with the Law Office of Jennifer K. Gjesvold, Esq., and she will now be handling all of the firm's Texas business and commercial litigation cases.
  • In 2014, the 5th Circuit cited in its favorable opinion the appellate opinion and lead counsel Jennifer K. Gjesvold, Esq.'s trial argument from a contempt proceeding arising out of a business dispute as the law that is to be followed with respect to Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 683 on seeking contempt on an injunction.
  • In May 2015, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold attended the required certification CLE to become a certified Attorney Ad Litem and Guardian Ad Litem, and has since been certified by the Texas State Bar. She can now be appointed by any State Court Judge to any case that requires her experience and particular knowledge to assist the Judge in determining appropriate outcomes in difficult cases.
  • In June, 2015, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold testified for the first time as an expert in the field of criminal justice and corrections for the defense in a criminal case against an ex-corrections officer and they obtained a RARE directed verdict in favor of the defendant!
  • In June 2015, same-sex marriage was recognized by the United States Supreme Court, which means you can now get same-sex divorces in Texas. Texas finalized its first same-sex divorce in Tarrant County in August 2015.
  • On June 15, 2015, the firm was hired by Romulus Group to prosecute a publicized $1.5 million breach of contract suit against the City of Dallas. Good luck to them!
  • On June 17, 2015, attorneys Jennifer K. Gjesvold and Jenny Bales won by unanimous verdict a three-day jury trial in Tarrant County, which settled post-jury verdict.
  • In July, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold attended the Advanced Civil Trial Practices three-day CLE presented by the State Bar of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. Not only did she learn a lot, her attendance at this CLE helped her attain the annual 30 hour CLE requirement to maintain her qualifying membership with the Texas State Bar College for 2015-2016.
  • On July 20, 2015, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold was dually admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the highest court of the land, which is not only a great accomplishment, but it's one very few attorneys attain. Congrats to her!
  • On July 25, 2015, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold headed to South Carolina in connection with the Anita Fox murder case, which resulted in her successful defense and the non-suiting of her client from the cases in the civil suits related to the highly publicized case.
  • On August 10, 2015, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold appeared in the Harley-Davidson case against the debtor, on behalf of the Law Office of Timothy Vinson and Associates where Harley-Davidson was attempting to throw the default debtor in jail on contempt. Attorney Gjesvold barred Harley-Davidson from proceeding and it was clear that they will not attempt such maneuvers again.
  • On August 13, 2015, lead attorney Jennifer K. Gjesvold won a full defense verdict in a business dispute and breach of contract case. In this case, she had one day's preparation against a triple board-certified 30-year practicing lawyer.
